OrbDesk keeps your saved setup data on your Mac.

What the app saves

OrbDesk stores app identities, window titles and sizes, screen and Desktop assignments, remembered screen mappings, preferences, and setup-guide progress locally. This information is used to match your windows and restore your setups. It is not uploaded as analytics.

Permission to manage windows

Accessibility access lets OrbDesk read and manage application windows. You grant this through macOS System Settings and can revoke it there. OrbDesk does not need Screen Recording or Full Disk Access.

Update checks

Checking for updates contacts orbdesk.app to retrieve release information. Downloading an update contacts our public Vercel Blob file store. Those hosts receive normal connection information, such as your IP address. Saved workspace data is not included in update requests. Automatic checks are optional.

This website

The website has no analytics, advertising scripts, account system, or tracking cookies. Fonts and images are served with the website. The hosting provider may process standard request information to deliver the page. This site does not collect email addresses.

Your control

You can delete saved setups from OrbDesk. Uninstalling the app does not automatically erase its separate local support data. Local data currently uses the Application Support/Orbit folder in your user Library.
